I saw You Can See Everything—Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim’s uncategorizable quasi-documentary—two weeks ago, and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since. My colleague Rebecca Ford saw the movie even longer ago—at its surprise Telluride premiere, way back at the beginning of September—and thus has spent more than a month bursting to talk about it, despite a campaign of secrecy meticulous enough to impress Elizabeth Holmes. But finally, our day has come. You Can See Everything is officially out in theaters, which means the rest of you must immediately (1) go see it then (2) relive it by reading Rebecca’s thorough list of the movie’s most gasp-inducing revelations. You may also want to listen to Rebecca, John Ross, and I discuss the film on the latest episode of Little Gold Men. If none of that tickles your fancy—what are you, a Theranos investor?—I have further suggestions. Try reading Savannah Walsh’s charming interview with the ever-quotable Stanley Tucci, Aidan McLaughlin’s sitdown with Fox News anchor Bret Baier, or my breakdown of how Austin Abrams found himself stuck inside a whale. More tomorrow! |
