It’s the first Monday in May, which can only mean one thing: The Met Gala 2026 is finally here.
Fashion obsessives, rejoice: The biggest names in art, culture, fashion, film, theater, music, sports, technology, and more are just moments away from making their way up the iconic steps of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in all their finery for what may be the world’s chicest fundraiser (the ultra-exclusive yearly event is the primary source of annual funding for the Costume Institute). Will they play it safe or make a splash? Who will become instant meme fodder? And who will take our breath away? Only time will tell.
But one thing is for sure: With Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams joining Anna Wintour as co-chairs, and Fashion Is Art acting as the evening’s dress code, there will be plenty to discuss deep into the night and all day tomorrow. Stay tuned!
